Union Budget 2025: Tax exemptions to boost BJP ahead of Delhi elections. The " aam aadmi budget " presented by  Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman  just days ahead of the  Delhi assembly elections  could provide a boost to BJP to take on the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), said analysts. They said the proposed tax exemption up to the annual income of ₹12 lakh would directly impact 3.5 million  salaried voters  of Delhi. At the national level, 28.2 million individuals filed returns with income up to ₹10 lakh for 2023-24, as per official data. Additionally, 5.05 million individuals filed returns with an average annual salary of ₹12.05 lakh. The proposed tax benefits are therefore likely to impact more than 33 million salaried voters directly across the country.
